ACHIEVEMENTS
The achievements of our athletes.
Since 2017 we have raised a number of competitors who have made their mark in regional and national tournaments. Here is a hall of their finest moments.
"Maximum efficiency, minimum effort."
Judo is not about medals. Medals are a consequence, not a goal. What a child or an adult takes off the tatami — the ability to fall and stand up, respect for others, calm under pressure — is worth more than anything you can hang on a wall.
Club record
Nine years on the tatami.
RuKa JUDO has been running since April 2017. Nine cohorts of children have passed through the dojo in Dobřany; some of our athletes now compete at national level, others have grown up and are becoming coaches. The club grows slowly but relentlessly — generation by generation.
Nine years of the journey
Since its founding in April 2017, several dozen children, juniors and adults have come through the club. Some stayed a single season, others for years. Some won their first medal at a district tournament, others made their mark at regional rounds and the Czech National Championships. Some found a passion for competitive judo, others look in it only for the rhythm of training, with no ambition to compete.
To us they are all the same — judoka on their own path.

A club regular
Karolína Fojtíková — regional U-14 champion
Karolína is one of the club's most consistent competitors. At the regional U-14 championship in Plzeň she won gold for Dobřany together with Barbora Kadlečková. She regularly brings home medals from memorial tournaments (2nd place at the Ing. Radoš Memorial in Domažlice), competitions (3rd in Blatná, gold in Domažlice with her sister Linda) and international starts (the Velký Pardubický Open).
She represented the club at the Czech National Championship in Teplice and in Plzeň in the older-youth category. She currently continues under Karel Fojtík's guidance among the juniors and adults.
