The Dobřany judokas are not resting on their laurels and have thrown themselves fully into the autumn tournaments. The excellent results are clearly the fruit of diligent training every Tuesday and Friday. On top of their regular training, they have also added strength conditioning, attended mainly by the older competitors. In November, a two-day camp and seminar were also held under the guidance of coach Karel Fojtík.

During October, qualifying tournaments for the Czech National Championship in Mladá Boleslav took place in Plzeň. Two competitors from the Ruka Judo club qualified: Šimon Voller in the younger youth category and Daniel Šimon in the older youth category.

A tournament took place in Blovice, attended by our talented competitors: Karolína Fojtíková brought home a silver medal, Milan Čmolík fought his way to a bronze medal, and Max Kleisner finished in fourth place. All our judokas put up a fight and delivered very fine performances.

At the end of October, Šimon Voller represented the Ruka Judo club at the international Adler Cup tournament in Frankfurt. This tournament was attended by youth and cadet competitors from 39 countries, and amid strong competition Šimon did not advance to the further rounds.

On the first November weekend, a regional tournament was held in Nepomuk. All the competing athletes delivered an excellent performance and some brought home medals: 1st place Šimon Voller, 2nd place David Chmelík and 3rd place Max Kleisner. The tournament was also attended by Matyáš Kobsa, Matěj Khas, Václav Kule and Filip Hančík, who unfortunately had no opponent in his weight category.

That same weekend, the Czech team championship for older youth was held in Brno, with the Ruka Judo club represented by Daniel Šimon.

I must not forget to mention that our very experienced competitor Filip Hančík took part for the Ruka Judo club in the Czech cadet team championship, held in Olomouc.

In mid-November, a judo tournament took place in Blatná. Our youngest competitors Max Kleisner and Milan Čmolík took part, both fighting their way to 2nd place. Filip Hančík competed in the cadet category and won the gold medal.

Several more tournaments await our judokas before Christmas, so we wish them above all good health and plenty of ippons.
